To access Vănguard’s growing digital library — including our zines, artist publications, artworks, community resources, forums, and more — we ask all visitors to sign up for an account. This process helps us stay intentional about who we’re building with. Vănguard is rooted in community — and we believe that access is a right for queer and trans Vietnamese people. Therefore we have made it free for all community members to create an account. 
We also believe in a redistributive cost system where institutions, researchers, and others with access to resources have a responsibility to materially support this work. Your donation directly supports the staff and cost of operating the website — and keeps access free for those who need it in the community.


Your account includes:

  • Full access to all Vănguard zines and artworks
  • A growing database of LGBTQ+ Vietnamese artists
  • Access to our chatroom, forum, and resource portal [coming soon]
  • Interactive and collaborative virtual art making [coming soon]


Suggested Donation:

  • Community Member: Free, but donations are appreciated
  • ⁠Individual Supporter: $20+
  • Nonprofit & Cultural Org: $50 - $100
  • Librarian & Archivist: $50 - $100
  • Academic & Researcher: $100+

Vetting & Account Policy

To protect our space and values, Vănguard reserves the right to vet all account sign-ups. We may deny or revoke your account at any time if the information you submitted is false or if access is misused.
