Born in Da Lat and raised in Saigon, Ishaan Tran is a Vietnamese pansexual trans man whose work spans acrylic and oil painting, with some film photography. A pivotal year studying in Melbourne ignited his passion for paint and texture, which came back home with him as a long term passion. He set up a small home-studio back home to transforms his life, his personal struggle, the search for trust, and the fight against bi/pan-phobia and transphobia - into vivid, impasto-rich canvases.

His paintings and photographs give voice to what words cannot: the rush of self-affirmation, the ache of vulnerability, the resilient beauty of becoming, and the peace of life itself.
