Hi! My name is Irene Pham and I am a cartoonist and painter. My work seeks for some sort of ultimate truth of my life (the "whys") but ultimately investigates my relationship with identity and ideology. The histories that swirl around me from family and friends are oral and subjective, but the more I try to find out an objective sequence of events, it ends up being more convoluted. So, I have to transform it into my terms of understanding, and that is why I make art.
