she/they

hamsa fae (b.1993, Los Angeles) is a Vietnamese-French artist working across performance, sound, movement, and social practice on Turtle Island.

With a decade of research in shamanism and land-based inquiry, they use the third gender body as a site for ancestral technologies and indigenous futurity. Her work unravels the interconnectedness between identity, intimacy, and ecology by using systems of re-matriation to challenge coloniality. Through cyber and site-specific invitations, she edges audiences towards self and environmental remembrance.

Her recent works have been exhibited at the Hannah Hoffman Gallery, AHL Foundation, Mingei Museum, Bread & Salt, Athenaeum Art Center, and Fronte San Ysidro. Her solo exhibition, Trans Aphrodisia, was in 2024 at the Brown Building. They are the Founder and

Curator of the AAPI Emerging Artist Fellowship.
